Hi there! :)

My name is Brandon Gilliland and I am an artist and designer who loves exploring typography, illustration, and creative line work. I graduated from illinois state university in may 2024 with my bfa in graphic design, where I was a member of design streak studio.

In May 2022, I graduated from Parkland College with my Associate in Fine Arts in Art and Design. Art has always been a haven for me. Through times of self-discovery and demanding classes, I have relied heavily on my creative side to ease my mind and pull me through. I was homeschooled for most of my childhood and, fascinated by Pokémon, dedicated a lot of time to drawing sketchbook after sketchbook of imagery creatures and characters. I would create fake video game titles and come up with custom box art for them, as well as dabble around in Word to construct my own websites and products. When I went back to Monticello High School my sophomore year, I immediately got involved with print media and art, which ultimately became the framework for my career choice today.

I was encouraged to pursue a degree in art after being honored with the Monticello Area Arts Council's scholarship in early 2019, which mentally affirmed my visual art abilities. While at Parkland College, I discovered a love for the impeccable appearance of graphic design, which allowed me to embrace my ever-refining mentality and minimalist artistry. Working with packaging design, social media ads, and branding have all helped me become well versed in my digital capabilities!

Outside of projects, you can probably find me drinking coffee, listening to music, watching horror shows/movies, or out hiking at a nearby park!
