Created during my time at Design Streak Studio, this logo was selected to represent The Jobson Family Foundation, which is dedicated to transforming environments connecting communities to nature. This collaborative mission is represented by a hickory leaf, a native tree historically symbolizing strength and transformation. A compound leaf, the leaflets stand for individual community members coming together to create a unified whole.

The continuous line further connects each part to one another, promoting the strength of collaboration and the foundation’s continuous mission. Hickory trees are also monoecious, meaning at least two are needed to bear fruit. The slab serif typeface is contrasted with the rounded corners of the leaf to represent the idea of the man-made and nature combined. Inspired by colors that Ilse Jobson loved, the orange and yellow emphasize sunlight and the outdoors, as well as the beautiful color the leaves turn in the fall, breaking off to allow for new growth.​
