This project is an informative and engaging 48-page book that covers the history and current affairs of the Netherlands. Common graphics are utilized to visualize data within the 8 x 8 design. Dutch design has always been extremely experimental. Its’ minimal artistry has a strong connection with the grid system and simple forms, often coming off as type-heavy and limited in terms of color.

The book is thoroughly inspired by Dutch typographic experimentation, as well as minimal content and geometry. Although predominantly incorporating blocks of sans-serif type, each page’s title explores the world of display type inspired by Delftware porcelain, which became a worldwide phenomenon in the 17th century. The sans-serif itself, Bicyclette, even highlights the country’s strong cycling culture.
